Working hours for most of the banks are 8:30-4pm every Monday to Friday and until mid-day on Saturday. The following International Banks have branches in Uganda and have ATM services:

Credit cards are not widely used, aside from hotels where they are accepted with a surcharge. Foreign debit and charge cards cannot be used. It is recommended to travel with cash dollars, and there is no restriction on funds up to $10,000 USD
Forex Bureau:
Although US dollars are accepted for exchange for Shillings, all bills dated earlier than 1999 are not accepted, also keep in mind smaller bills tend to be exchanged at a lower rate.
